While on a routine mission aboard The Story Ship rocket, Captain Starfield discovers his lead scientist has been kidnapped by aliens! The audience must help get her back by unraveling musical and mathematical messages. Audience members will help by assisting with magic tricks, singing songs, moving to the music, and navigating the rescue rocket with special controls. For more, www.storyship.com.

Atlantic Coast Theatre's "Stories of Grimm"

The Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth brings tales such as “The Bremen Town Musicians,” “Rapunzel,” “Hansel & Gretel,” and “Snow White” to the stage in a classical 19th century theatrical melodrama. Award-winning children's musician Roger Day has devoted his life to making sure that future generations sing loud, jump high, and—most importantly—dream big.  His signature wit, whimsy, and wordplay have helped put smiles on the faces of kids from one to ninety-two. Roger believes that in order to "Build a Better World" we must start with children; for they are the future. During this one-hour spectacular, enjoy a delightful, condensed, narrated version of the holiday classic “The Nutcracker,” in addition to a mini-ballet demonstration staged by Cary Ballet Company’s Artistic Director, Mariaelena Ruiz.
