The Town completed a comprehensive roof assessment in 2017. This assessment allows the Town to proactively plan, identify and prioritize roof maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation rather than addressing it on an emergency basis. Prior planning also allows for the investigation of potential cost reducing approaches and helps ensure adequate funds are available to cover repair needs. Three of the four buildings at Town Hall were identified in the assessment for replacement during FY21. A review of this prioritization with Town staff during the FY21 budget development confirmed this roof replacement was needed.
This project will result in the replacement of the roofs at Town Hall Building A, B, and D.
